PRS Guitars

Core models are handcrafted in Stevensville, Maryland using premium carved maple tops, Phase III locking tuners, and USA-made TCI pickups. S2 models are also built in the USA factory using simplified beveled body carves and hybrid hardware. SE (Student Edition) models are manufactured under strict PRS supervision in specialized overseas facilities, providing authentic PRS ergonomics, bird inlays, and versatile tones at an accessible price point.

The Custom 24 is PRS’s original 1985 flagship featuring a 25" scale length, 24 frets, 85/15 modern humbuckers, and a patented Gen III tremolo. The McCarty 594 features a slightly shorter 24.594" vintage scale length, 22 frets, thicker mahogany back, 58/15 LT low-turn vintage PAF pickups, a 2-piece zinc bridge with brass saddles, and dual volume/tone controls for classic vintage rock and blues tones.

Developed in close collaboration with John Mayer, the PRS Silver Sky features custom-voiced 635JM single-coil pickups that deliver round, full-bodied cleans without piercing treble. It also incorporates PRS’s inverted headstock for even string tension behind the nut, modified vintage neck carve, contoured neck heel, and a precision steel tremolo resting flush against the body.

Yes. Every PRS guitar—from an entry SE model to a Core Custom 24—receives a full multi-point workshop bench setup in Huntingdon. Our guitar technicians balance the Gen III tremolo, check fret heights, calibrate neck relief, and adjust the pickup heights so your guitar arrives ready to gig straight out of the box.
