Yamaha RSP20X Revstar - Rusty Brass Charcoal

Crafted in Japan by master luthiers, the Yamaha Revstar Professional RSP20X represents the pinnacle of the Revstar series. This special model is a cosmetic variation of the regular RSP20, with gold racing stripes, matching body binding and a gold anodized pickguard.

The RSP20X features a chambered mahogany body set with carbon reinforcements and complete with a maple top. This construction that helps two things, to help reduce weight for a more comfortable playing experience, and to sculpt the tone of the guitar for a clearer, full sound.

The body is paired with a 3-piece mahogany neck which hosts carbon reinforcement for added stability. The neck has which has a smooth satin polyurethane finish and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with a modern 12" radius and set with 22 stainless steel jumbo frets.

The RSP20X also features Yamaha’s I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration) process, which applies specific vibrations to release stresses between an instrument’s components, resulting in a new guitar with “played-in” sound and feel.

Powering the Revstar Professional RSP20X is a pair of Yamaha designed VH5 alnico V humbuckers. The pickups are wired through master volume and tone controls and a 5-way switch - the subtle phase shift on positions 2 and 4 offers a fresh take on classic in-between sounds. Yamaha's Focus Switch, accessible via a Push/Pull Tone control, activates a passive boost with an effect similar to overwound pickups darker highs, increased mids and lows, and an aggressive character.

Other appointments include a rock solid Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, a 3-ply pickguard and die-cast tuners.

The guitar comes complete with a hard case.
