Precision-engineered for extended range
The SE Mark Holcomb SVN’s 26.5” scale length ensures the perfect balance of string tension and clarity for extended-range tuning. Whether you’re hitting low, thunderous chugs or intricate upper-register melodies, the longer scale keeps the response tight and defined, even in drop tunings. It’s built for players who want power and precision without compromise.
Signature Seymour Duncan pickups
Mark Holcomb’s signature “Scourge” and “Scarlet” 7-string pickups bring brutal definition with musical articulation. The bridge pickup delivers focused low-end punch ideal for progressive metal riffing, while the neck pickup adds warmth and expressive clarity. Coil-tap capability via the push/pull tone control adds single-coil-like sparkle, making this guitar surprisingly versatile across genres.
Effortless modern playability
The Wide Thin satin maple neck feels fast and fluid under the hand, perfect for intricate fretwork and complex rhythm patterns. A 20” radius bound ebony fretboard provides a flat, sleek surface for easy string bending and precise control. Combined with 24 frets and seamless upper-fret access, the SE Mark Holcomb SVN offers a truly addictive playing experience.
In Mark's own words...
“My SE SVN has become the perfect counterpart to my SE six-string, and an absolute mainstay in Periphery’s live rig. It’s designed to be aggressive, but its core features allow it to be diverse enough to handle clean and mid-gain tones just as effectively. If you’ve played my SE six, you’ll find that this builds off what we established with that guitar and more.” - Mark Holcomb, Periphery
