Iconic StingRay design
The Sterling StingRay Ray2 Bass embodies the signature StingRay look and feel, making it an excellent entry point for new players. Featuring a contoured body and timeless design, this bass is both visually striking and ergonomic. Its narrow 40mm nut width makes playing comfortable, especially for players with smaller hands or those seeking a faster neck profile.
Powerful passive humbucker
Equipped with a passive humbucking pickup in the bridge position, the Ray2 delivers a versatile yet familiar tone. This pickup offers the punchy, clear, and defined sound that StingRay basses are known for, making it suitable for a variety of genres. Whether you’re playing rock, funk, or pop, the Ray2’s humbucker ensures your bass lines are powerful and well-defined.
Simple, effective controls
With a straightforward volume and tone control setup, the Ray2 offers effortless tone shaping for any player. This passive system removes the complexity of active electronics, allowing you to focus on your performance and dial in your sound quickly. Whether you need deep, resonant lows or snappy, punchy mids, this bass keeps it simple yet powerful.
Comfortable and lightweight build
Designed for comfort, the Ray2 boasts a lightweight body that reduces strain during long playing sessions. Its smooth neck profile and accessible fretboard make it easy to navigate, even for newer players. This thoughtful build quality ensures that the Ray2 is not just affordable, but also a pleasure to play, whether you’re practising or performing live.
