Matchless Guitar Amp - Laurel Canyon 6V6 Head

For the Laurel Canyon, we developed a more compact cabinet in consideration of the needs of the on the go musician desiring more portability. We tested several different cabinet sizes until we found the one that hit the sweet spot between portability and ability to showcase the tonal range of the Laurel Canyon to the fullest. Controls are Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Master Volume.‍

Powered by one 5AR4 rectifier tube, 2 x 6V6s and driven by three 12AX7s. The combination creates an unbelievably robust sound.

The standard effects loop is a ¼” send and ¼” return non buffered loop. Only time based effects are recommended such as reverb pedals, delays, chorus, etc. Boost and gain pedals are recommended to be placed in front of the amp to avoid clipping the phase inverter.

Like all of the other Matchless amplifiers, the Laurel Canyon is meticulously handcrafted to military-like specifications from start to finish. From the rugged steel chassis to the military spec. parts to the heavy Baltic birch cabinet, only the best materials are used.‍

The Laurel Canyon is ideal for professional studio work, playing in venues both large and small, and for home practice.
