What is the difference between a high-end production guitar and a Custom Shop model?

High-end production guitars (such as PRS Core Custom 24 or Gibson USA Standard) utilize advanced CNC precision combined with hand-finishing in standard production runs. Custom Shop models feature lower batch volumes, hand-selected tonewoods, custom hand-wound pickups, period-accurate construction, and master luthier voicing.

Why should I avoid drop-shipped high-end electric guitars?

Drop-shipped guitars are dispatched directly from logistics warehouses without unboxing or inspection. Without a bench inspection and 5-point setup by an in-house guitar technician, you risk receiving an unplayable instrument affected by climate shifts during storage and transit.

What does MusicStreet's 5-point setup include?

Every instrument sold through MusicStreet undergoes a comprehensive 5-point bench inspection: truss rod and neck relief calibration, nut slot depth check, bridge radius and intonation alignment, pickup height and electronic circuit testing, and fretboard conditioning.

Can I try boutique and custom shop guitars in person at MusicStreet?

Yes. MusicStreet operates a showroom at 10 Chequers Court, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, where players can test premium PRS, Fender, and Gibson models through high-end amplifiers in a dedicated testing environment.

PRS SE CE24 Standard satin Stoptail - Ice blue metallic

£499.00

The PRS SE CE24 Standard Stoptail is built around an all-mahogany body with a thin satin finish, so it rings out with warm, focused resonance and a lively acoustic snap. That satin finish keeps the guitar feeling light and responsive, while the shallow violin carve adds a familiar PRS feel against the body. It’s a straightforward recipe that delivers a punchy midrange and a controlled low end, making riffs tight and chords ring out without excess weight or fuss

Fast bolt-on feel

A maple bolt-on neck gives you the immediate attack and “snap” players love from a CE, paired with a semi-gloss finish for a slinky, broken-in feel. The wide thin carve stays quick across the board, and with 24 frets on a 25" scale, you’ve got modern reach plus classic PRS ergonomics. “Old School” bird inlays keep the vibe right, while the overall build invites quick runs, precise bends, and confident rhythm work night after night

Versatile 85/15 “S” voice

The uncovered 85/15 “S” humbuckers serve up clear, extended highs and lows, great for contemporary gain as well as articulate cleans. A push/pull tone control splits the coils, unlocking snappy single-coil sparkle, and the three-way toggle makes switching quick on stage. From chunky rhythm to glassy chime, the control layout keeps you focused on feel and phrasing instead of menu-diving or pedal tap-dancing

Rock-solid stoptail stability

PRS’s stoptail bridge with brass inserts and studs anchors your tuning solidly, giving you confident intonation and a consistent downforce across the strings. Paired with PRS-designed tuners, the hardware is built to hold pitch under hard playing and rapid changes. It’s plug-and-play reliable, easy to set up, and ideal for players who want a fixed-bridge CE that just works. The Charcoal satin finish completes a stage-ready look that stands out without shouting
