They had to celebrate their 30th anniversary and they are doing so in style with this cool new range of SE Custom 24 guitars only available for the next year. Topped off with a quilted maple top rather than the standard flame top on the SE guitars and finished in Amethyst. You get the kind of top you would normally only find on the USA PRS models but now at a much lower price. 

You also get the 30th anniversary bird inlays which will only be on this guitar throughout 2015. These small aesthetic changes may not sound like much on their own but as a package it really makes a difference to the look of the guitar.

Fantastic Quality Hardware

The high level of PRS build quality is known the world over. From the SE line all the way up to the USA models you will struggle to find a badly made PRS. The mahogany body and neck are both cut with an ergonomic design. The neck is what PRS like to call a wide thin shape meaning that it is slightly thinner than a standard PRS neck making it easier to play especially for faster music styles.

This level of quality is true not only for the cut and the woods but also the hardware that goes inside. These SE versions of the HFS Treble and Vintage Bass pickups which are designed after extremely popular pickups from the USA line sound great and you can use them for pretty much any style.

And it would not be an SE Custom 24 without the PRS tremolo system. Much like the pickups it is designed directly off of its big brother in the USA line to have smooth movement and great tuning stability out of the box.
