What is the difference between a high-end production guitar and a Custom Shop model?

High-end production guitars (such as PRS Core Custom 24 or Gibson USA Standard) utilize advanced CNC precision combined with hand-finishing in standard production runs. Custom Shop models feature lower batch volumes, hand-selected tonewoods, custom hand-wound pickups, period-accurate construction, and master luthier voicing.

Why should I avoid drop-shipped high-end electric guitars?

Drop-shipped guitars are dispatched directly from logistics warehouses without unboxing or inspection. Without a bench inspection and 5-point setup by an in-house guitar technician, you risk receiving an unplayable instrument affected by climate shifts during storage and transit.

What does MusicStreet's 5-point setup include?

Every instrument sold through MusicStreet undergoes a comprehensive 5-point bench inspection: truss rod and neck relief calibration, nut slot depth check, bridge radius and intonation alignment, pickup height and electronic circuit testing, and fretboard conditioning.

Can I try boutique and custom shop guitars in person at MusicStreet?

Yes. MusicStreet operates a showroom at 10 Chequers Court, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, where players can test premium PRS, Fender, and Gibson models through high-end amplifiers in a dedicated testing environment.

Martin GPC13E Acoustic guitar

The Martin GPC-13E Modern pairs contemporary design with the versatile Grand Performance cutaway body. This shape blends the curves, comfort, and balance of a 000 with the power and presence of a Dreadnought, producing a projective, balanced tone with a touch of extra bass. It’s a body size made for players who need flexibility—comfortable enough for practice and songwriting, but powerful enough to shine on stage.

A solid spruce top provides crisp articulation and headroom, while koa fine veneer back and sides add shimmering highs, warm mids, and smooth sustain. Scalloped X-bracing brings responsiveness and clarity, helping the top breathe with resonance whether you’re fingerpicking or strumming. The cutaway grants easy access to higher frets, making the guitar a natural choice for modern playing styles.

The Performing Artist neck with high-performance taper ensures comfort across the entire fingerboard. Diamond-and-square inlays, white binding, and Ratio® skeletonised tuners deliver stability while adding visual sophistication. The gloss finish enhances the aesthetic, giving the instrument a clean, professional look.

Equipped with Martin E1 electronics, a built-in tuner, and a softshell case, the GPC-13E Modern is built for versatility. Its Grand Performance cutaway offers balance, bass, and comfort, while modern details give it a clean, stage-ready presence. From songwriting to live gigs, it thrives in every setting. This is your road to power, clarity, and inspiration—a Martin made for the full spectrum of your musical journey.
