Said to resemble a bell with a large, lower bout and a narrower upper bout – this guitar is built with an ‘Advanced Jumbo’ body. The result is an overall balanced tone which rings crisp and sweet for the highs, with a rich and deep low-end. This guitar is incredibly versatile, as also assured by this body shape is a tight and clear mid-range, with an excellent amount of response and focus.

Manufactured with mahogany back and sides, topped with a solid Sitka spruce, this Epiphone electro acoustic delivers an array of sonically pleasing tones to suit a range of different playing styles. Mahogany consistently ensures a rich sonic warmth with plenty of resonance, thick, meaty mids, deep smoky lows and a nice amount of bite. The mahogany combines with the spruce top to extend the tonal range of this guitar with bright and expressive characteristics. Sitka spruce also delivers a wide dynamic response with a direct and focused tone that will respond well to the dynamics of your playing.

Constructed from okoume, the neck infuses the Epiphone AJ-220S with light and bright tones, that complement the mahogany body well. Okoume offers a glorious amount of high end clarity, as well as bite and snappier sounds – topped with a rosewood fingerboard that adds further warmth and clarity to the tone, simultaneously providing comfortable, smooth and energetic playability.
