What is AIPS?
The Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme (AIPS) allows students at UK schools to purchase musical instruments free of VAT, provided the instrument is for educational use and the school facilitates the purchase.

Who is Eligible?
- Pupils in full-time education at a UK school or local authority music service
- The instrument must be for the student’s personal use in their musical education
How Does It Work?
- The parent/guardian selects an instrument at Musicstreet.
- The school or music service purchases the instrument from Musicstreet, reclaiming VAT.
- The student receives the instrument, usually via the school.
Key Conditions:
- The instrument must be portable and for personal use
- The student must be receiving tuition at the school or through the local authority
- The instrument must be collected from the school
How to Apply:
Download and complete the AIPS Application Form. Submit it to your school or music service for processing.
*AIPS cannot be used in conjunction with any finance options such as Klarna, Paypal or ShopPay
