Dave Friedman and Grover Jackson are both world renowned for craftsmanship of the very highest order, so it comes as no surprise that the Custom Shop Cali is a guitar that just screams quality. Each piece of wood is hand selected and each guitar is hand-built to ensure its completely individual and distinct.

The stunning aged finish looks fresh from the road, authentically relic’d with lots of lacquer checking all over, and is ready to rock. There is no 'non-factory' blemishes that we can identify and it's been carefully looked after.

The spec includes a nitro finished Ash body with a comfortable slim-taper profile maple neck, Pau Ferro fingerboard with lightly rolled edges and 10-14” compound radius, 25.5” scale length, a Floyd Rose locking bridge/nut and locking tuners. 

The Cali will provide tones that can go from warm jazz to punchy rock and everything in between. In the neck position, Friedman's Classic Humbucker tips its hat to the legendary PAF dynasty, with a sweet, clear top end that's balanced by a full and punchy lower register. In the bridge position, an extra-wound Classic+ Humbucker delivers added heat and bite to drive your input stage harder and faster. Paired with CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors, the Cali Standard delivers drop-dead gorgeous cleans, gains, and all stops in between.
