Gibson has brought a forgotten gem back to life — the Les Paul '70s Deluxe! First released in 1969, the Deluxe saw the introduction of the legendary mini humbucker to the Les Paul lineup; keeping noise and interference at bay like a full-sized humbucker, but projecting a brighter tone with more upper mid-range punch.
Sporting features inspired by those early models from the 1970s, this time-honoured Les Paul will take you back in time to one of the most progressive eras in rock 'n' roll history!
Key Features
- Mahogany Construction — This timeless tonewood (used for the body/neck) yields the thick and sustain-rich sound synonymous with Gibson guitars.
- Non-Weight Relieved Body — Period-correct design; gives the instrument a substantial feel and captures that iconic vintage sound.
- Bound Maple Top — Adds bright complexities into the tonal mix, enhancing top-end bite and improving note clarity.
- Rounded "C"-Shaped Neck — Old-school profile delivers a "time capsule" feel that'll strongly appeal to traditionalists.
- Indian Rosewood Fingerboard — Smooth and silky material, featuring a comfortable 12" radius and 22 frets.
- Medium Jumbo Frets — Offer a controllable feel for wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends.
- Tune-O-Matic Bridge — Legendary Gibson design; easily-adjustable and maximises string vibration transference through the body.
- Vintage-Style Keystone Tuners — Provide an iconic look; high-quality construction allows for precise pitching and guarantees decades of reliable operation.
- Graph Tech Nut — Low-friction material minimises unwanted tuning slips and enhances sustain.
- Mini Humbuckers — Retain the hum-free performance of their full-sized cousins, but with a somewhat clearer and brighter tonality.
- Included Hardshell Case — Perfectly protects the Les Paul '70s Deluxe against knocks on the road!
