Innovative Airbucker™ Design
The DiMarzio Air Norton™ Pickup is made using DiMarzio's Airbucker™ design, which incorporates a small gap between the magnet and the pole pieces. This space works to slightly reduce the magnetic field over the pickup, providing your tone with excellent dynamics control and greatly improved clarity and sustain. The Airbucker™ design produces an effect similar to the sound of vintage humbuckers with weakened or "aged" magnets, but without the inherent unreliability of using an authentic 50s or 60s pickup.
