Gibson ES-335 Electric Guitar - 50's Vintage Tobacco Burst

Authentic ES-335 semi-hollow design

The ES-335 50s stays true to the original formula that made the ES-335 one of the most influential electric guitars ever produced. Its layered maple/poplar/maple body creates a resonant, airy voice with excellent sustain and articulation, while the solid maple centreblock reduces unwanted feedback and adds extra focus to the tone. This construction gives the guitar its famously versatile sound, capable of handling jazz, blues, classic rock, indie, and modern styles with ease. Finished with gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, the ES-335 50s captures the refined vintage aesthetics of the earliest "dot neck" ES-335 models introduced in 1958.

Custombucker vintage tone

At the heart of the ES-335 50s lies a pair of Gibson Custombucker pickups loaded with Alnico 3 magnets. These pickups are carefully voiced to recreate the warmth, clarity, and dynamic response of the original late-'50s Patent Applied For humbuckers that helped define the sound of countless classic recordings. The bridge pickup delivers punchy attack and articulate midrange bite, while the neck pickup produces smooth sustain and rich harmonic depth. Together, they create a highly responsive tonal palette that reacts beautifully to picking dynamics and amplifier settings. Hand-wired volume and tone controls allow precise shaping of your sound while preserving maximum clarity and character.

Comfortable vintage-inspired feel

The mahogany neck features a Rounded C profile that recreates the fuller, more substantial feel of early ES-335 necks. It sits comfortably in the hand while offering excellent support for rhythm work and expressive lead playing. The bound rosewood fretboard adds a smooth and refined playing surface, while the 12-inch radius and medium jumbo frets provide effortless playability across the entire neck. Acrylic dot inlays reinforce the understated vintage aesthetic, and the set-neck construction enhances sustain and resonance for a lively and responsive playing experience.

Premium Gibson hardware

Every component on the ES-335 50s has been selected to deliver dependable performance while maintaining authentic vintage style. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece maximise sustain and precise intonation, while Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons work alongside the Graph Tech nut to provide excellent tuning stability. Black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts and the '59-style five-ply long pickguard complete the classic look, adding period-correct detail throughout the instrument. Supplied with a Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit, the ES-335 50s is a beautifully crafted modern recreation of one of Gibson’s most iconic semi-hollow designs.
