PRS SE Silver Sky Electric Guitar - Derby Red
Classic tone with modern reliability
The SE Silver Sky carries the same spirit as the original PRS model that redefined the modern single-coil guitar. Its poplar body produces a resonant, balanced tone that sits perfectly in any mix, while the bolt-on maple neck provides the snap and brightness players expect. It’s a timeless sound reimagined through PRS precision engineering.
Expressive 635JM “S” single coils
Inspired by the pickups in John Mayer’s original Silver Sky, the 635JM “S” set offers full, vintage-inspired tone with smooth highs and musical mids. They respond beautifully to pick dynamics, making them ideal for blues, funk, pop, or indie styles. The 5-way switch gives instant access to classic single-coil sounds, from glassy bridge tones to sweet neck warmth.
Comfortable neck built for players
The maple neck features PRS’s 635JM carve, a profile designed for both comfort and control. Combined with a rosewood fretboard, 8.5” radius, and 25.5” scale length, it feels instantly familiar to players who love traditional designs but crave PRS build quality. The satin-smooth feel invites long playing sessions without fatigue.
Reliable hardware and refined finish
The two-point steel tremolo offers expressive pitch control and smooth action, paired with a synthetic bone nut and vintage-style tuners for stable tuning and precise resonance. Nickel hardware complements the Derby Red finish perfectly, giving this model a clean, elegant look. Supplied with a PRS gig bag, the SE Silver Sky is ready for the stage, studio, or rehearsal – wherever inspiration strikes.
