What is the difference between a high-end production guitar and a Custom Shop model?

High-end production guitars (such as PRS Core Custom 24 or Gibson USA Standard) utilize advanced CNC precision combined with hand-finishing in standard production runs. Custom Shop models feature lower batch volumes, hand-selected tonewoods, custom hand-wound pickups, period-accurate construction, and master luthier voicing.

Why should I avoid drop-shipped high-end electric guitars?

Drop-shipped guitars are dispatched directly from logistics warehouses without unboxing or inspection. Without a bench inspection and 5-point setup by an in-house guitar technician, you risk receiving an unplayable instrument affected by climate shifts during storage and transit.

What does MusicStreet's 5-point setup include?

Every instrument sold through MusicStreet undergoes a comprehensive 5-point bench inspection: truss rod and neck relief calibration, nut slot depth check, bridge radius and intonation alignment, pickup height and electronic circuit testing, and fretboard conditioning.

Can I try boutique and custom shop guitars in person at MusicStreet?

Yes. MusicStreet operates a showroom at 10 Chequers Court, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, where players can test premium PRS, Fender, and Gibson models through high-end amplifiers in a dedicated testing environment.

Solid spruce top

The solid Spruce top used in the TRU4CE BW is a highly sought-after material in guitar making due to its exceptional tonal qualities. It is known for producing a clear, bright sound with great projection and sustain. This makes it an ideal choice for fingerstyle playing and strumming alike, as each note rings out with clarity and definition.

Black Walnut back and sides

The use of Black Walnut for the back and sides in this guitar not only adds to its visual appeal but also contributes to its sound quality. This tonewood is known for producing a warm, balanced tone with a strong low-end response. It also adds depth and character to the overall sound of the guitar, making it stand out among other instruments.

Tanglewood Premium Plus EQ system

The Tanglewood Premium Plus EQ system is a cutting-edge electronics package that offers musicians unparalleled control over their sound shaping and amplification. It features a 4-band EQ, phase switch, and notch filter to fine-tune your tone with precision. This allows for a seamless transition from intimate acoustic performances to larger stages, making this guitar a versatile tool for any musician.

Super Folk body size

The Super Folk body size of this guitar offers the best of both worlds - the comfortable playability of a compact parlor-style guitar and the powerful sound projection of a traditional dreadnought. This makes it an ideal choice for musicians who value both comfort and versatility in their instruments. The shape also allows for easy access to higher frets, making it perfect for soloing and intricate playing.
