USED - Maton EBG808 Tommy Emmanuel - Left Handed
This is a lovely used Tommy Emmanuel signature Maton. It is in good condition and is hard cased, but there is a slight mark on the top of the guitar where the case has rubbed a curve into it. Otherwise the guitar is spotless, and lives up to the great Maton expectation of being a great sounding, reliable instrument.
Testament to Maton's heritage, Tommy Emmanuel is just one of many big names using Maton Acoustic Guitars. This Tommy Emmanuel signature is based upon the BG808 series - one of Maton's most popular guitars.
Knowing that guitarists like Emmanuel use only the best instruments should be evidence enough of the sound and build quality of the Maton EBG808TE. Constructed of Queensland maple with a spruce top and a select wood neck, it is the details in the headstock, pickguard and binding that really make this guitar feel class.
The Tommy Emmanuel signature Maton is fitted with an AP-5 Pro pickup system and comes with a hard case.
Here's what Maton say about the EBG808 Tommy Emmanuel Signature Guitar
It takes a great guitar to meet the demands of such a great player. Designed in conjunction with guitar great Tommy Emmanuel, the TE series guitars are an outstanding tribute to Tommy's musicianship and Maton's superior craftsmanship. Built to Tommys specifications, the TE series provides the huge tone and performance you would expect from a guitar bearing the name.
Tommy looks for a guitar with superb tone, capable of the most delicate expression as well as the most ferocious attack. The neck must stay true regardless of the rigours of international travel and the guitar needs to perform at its peak, from Rome, to Nashville, to Sydney!
Our Tommy Emmanuel models feature a Mother of Pearl block inlay on the 12th Fret, engraved with "C.G.P." The acronym stands for "Certified Guitar Player," a title bestowed on Tommy by Chet Atkins and held by only 3 other guitarists in the world - John Knowles, Jerry Reed and Steve Warriner.
Tommy has done Australia proud and we are honoured that he continues to use Maton as his guitar of choice.
