The Anatomy of a Premium Electric Guitar
What separates a high end electric guitar from standard production models? In the £1000+ price bracket, manufacturers transition from mass production to meticulous, small-batch craftsmanship.
-
Elite Tonewoods: Premium instruments utilize hand-selected, lightweight, and highly resonant woods—such as solid mahogany, lightweight swamp ash, select alder, and highly figured flame or quilt maple tops.
-
Boutique Electronics: Loaded with custom-wound, hand-wired, or active pickups designed to capture every nuance of your touch, offering unparalleled dynamic range, clarity, and harmonic complexity.
-
Flawless Fretwork & Finishes: Features hand-rolled fingerboard edges, perfectly leveled and polished frets (often medium-jumbo or stainless steel), and premium finishes like thin nitrocellulose lacquer that allow the wood to breathe and resonate naturally.
-
Tour-Ready Hardware: Equipped with high-ratio locking tuners, high-mass bridges, and self-lubricating nuts to ensure absolute tuning stability and perfect intonation under the most demanding stage conditions.

4. The MusicStreet Difference: Workshop-Prepared Playability
At MusicStreet, we don't believe in "box shifting"—especially when it comes to premium, heirloom-grade instruments. A guitar over £1000 is a living, breathing piece of wood, and its playability is highly sensitive to setup.

We adjust the action, neck relief, nut slots, saddle height, and intonation to ensure your new instrument plays effortlessly and sounds spectacular straight out of the box.
