This is an indigenous wood from the UK and is related to the (often Amercian) broad leaf maple species frequently used in guitar building.
When matched to high grade Engelmann Spruce, giving the guitar the classic crisp properties. Also, the ''rippled'' nature of this sycamore is much less common that flaming marks on maple.
The beauty of this British wood is complemented with Solid Rosewood binding, back strip and end strip.
