The chambered body design improves the guitar's harmonic richness and the single cutaway allows easy access to the upper frets to provide an incredibly smooth performance. The mahogany neck offers full and deep tones, and the black walnut fingerboard complements the earthy sound of the neck, whilst delivering a balanced and projected tone. Chambered Mahogany Jet Body

The Electromatic Jet features a chambered mahogany body, topped with maple, producing exceptionally rich, and resonant tones. The warmth and depth of the mahogany makes it ideal for punchy rock music. The maple top extends the mahogany's tonal characteristics by enhancing the brightness, and offers shimmering highs for a full-bodied tone. The body features a single cutaway for easy access to higher frets, resulting in a smooth performance.

Powerful Black Top Broad'Tron Pickups

The Black Top Broad'Tron Pickups are located at the neck and the bridge of the G5220 guitar. They produce excellent aggression, ideal for heavy music styles. With fierce tones and plenty of overdrive, the Broad'Tron Pickups do not disappoint. The pickups retain good definition and articulation for a crystal clear tone. The Gretsch Electromatic Jet is equipped with a master tone and a master volume with treble bleed circuit to prevent a loss of treble when you turn the volume down for a tone with good bite. The controls also include individual pickup volume controls and a 3 position pickup toggle switch for ultimate tonal shaping; offering a versatile and flexible tone.

The G5220 Electromatic Jet features a shimmering Dark Cherry Metallic gloss body finish, with a silver plexi pickguard and chrome hardware, for a classy and attractive appearance. The guitar is also finished with vintage inspired purfling and Pearloid Big Block inlays.
