The RG550 utilises an ergonomically-shaped basswood body and bolt-on five piece Maple and Walnut neck.
The ultra slim Wizard neck shape allows you to glide up and down the Granadillo fretboard. Sharktooth inlays pay homage to the original ‘80s models.
Sound
The three pickup combination makes the RG550 a truly versatile instrument.
Switch between heavy chugging using the V8 bridge humbucker and middle single coil S1 for springy clarity. The V7 in the neck offers classic rock warmth for leads.
Hardware
Get a classic Vai divebomb sound going with the Edge tremolo bridge. It’ll ensure stable tuning however deep you go.
