The PRS Sonzera amplifier features two independently controlled channels to offer maximum versatility. Both channels have been designed to maximise note clarity and definition, while also featuring footswitch capabilities for an excellent playing experience. The amp’s clean channel delivers a full, 3D tone reminiscent of American amps from the 1960s and 70s. The lead channel is related to the clean channel circuit-wise, letting you use it as a boosted clean channel or make the two channels sound like completely different amps. Use the boost switch with the Lead amp to deliver a familiar high end snap with a full, tight, clear low end response that’s effective on low strings, neck pickup settings, and single coils.
Powerful Controls
Along with the selection of controls for the clean and lead channels, the amp also features a global presence control, letting you dial in a variety of tones from a bell like chime to warm, thick tones. The global reverb is designed to enhance notes without clouding them, and can be activated and deactivated via a footswitch. The Sonzera has also been designed with a built-in effects loop, allowing players to use all their time-based effects with ease without negatively impacting the overall tone of the amp.
