Used - Fender Roadhouse Stratocaster USA 1997
In 1997 Fender USA introduced a trio of upgraded American Standard Strats, the "Lone Star", "Big Apple" and "Roadhouse", with cosmetic changes and custom pickups. The Roadhouse model you see here featured three over-wound Texas Special single-coil pickups in the traditional Strat configuration, pearl guard, full maple neck with double string trees and a beautiful Candy Apple Red finish.
These "hot-rodded" Strats had a short, three-year production run from 1997 to 2000 - and were replaced by with the more common "Texas Special" line. This one is a first-year model Maple neck option that wasn't very popular in '97.
