Finlayson guitars is a new and exciting range of superb acoustic guitars, designed in collaboration with esteemed luthier Billy Finlayson and industry titan Robert Godin of Godin guitars.

This range of guitars, designed in Scotland and handcrafted in La Patrie, Canada, is a WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Godin do not make guitars for anybody else so this unique collaboration is unprecedented and extremely special.

The Finlayson range is populated with a range of steel and nylon string acoustic guitars in 3 different series: the 5, 50 & 100 series. All models feature solid tops and the 50 & 100 series are made of completely solid timbers, all sourced for North American forests.

Part of the reason that Finlayson guitars sound so good is the use of Adirondack Spruce for the inner bracing. Bracing forms and shapes much of the guitar’s voice & projection so using Adirondack Spruce, which is the strongest and lightest species of Spruce, is a massively important part of the process.

The Finlayson C5-NE is a lovely nylon string classical model. Made with a solid Cedar top, this beautiful instrument is an excellent choice for a performance nylon string guitar. With lots of body and resonance mixed in with the sharp snap of nylon, the C5-NE delivers a satisfying, quality sound.

This is made with a traditional classical guitar body shape and neck, providing the correctly substantial feel for playing authentically classical guitar. This guitar is not exclusively for classical technique though: it is equally well suited to Latin, North African and Flamenco styles.
