This USED Gibson Murphy Lab 1962 Les Paul SG Standard in Cherry is a faithful recreation of one of the most collectible guitars in Gibson’s historic lineup complete with era-specific quirks like the rare Ebony Block Short Maestro Vibrola tailpiece, which appeared only in 1962. Crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop and given the Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment, this instrument blends vintage authenticity with boutique-level finishing and modern reliability.

The body and neck are carved from solid mahogany, topped with a rosewood fingerboard, and shaped into the iconic 60s SlimTaper™ neck profile. A pair of unpotted Custombuckers, authentic wiring with CTS pots and Black Beauty capacitors, and meticulous period-correct hardware deliver rich, open PAF-style tone with crisp attack and classic warmth. This one-off piece is in excellent used condition and comes equipped with all its original Custom Shop features.
