Based off of the second generation of the ES-335 this '59 reissue features all of the small touches that made that guitar special. From mickey mouse ear horns to the neck binding everything has been carefully though out to match what we know today as the 1959 ES-335.

Vintage Build

The body of this guitar has a 3-ply construction built from Maple, Poplar, Maple, a mahogany neck and a stunning finish. Buffed to a perfect shine with 90 sheen lacquer this guitar looks absolutely beautiful. The vintage natural coating really brings out the wood grain on the maple top. A rosewood fretboard gives the sound a nice warmth.

Period specific pickups

The MHS (Memphis Historical spec) pickups on this model are great. Slightly underwound coils give you an airy tone with plenty of vintage flavour, with Alnico magnets and nickel plated covers they are as close to original 60’s era hardware as possible.
