SRT2 Pickup System

The Yamaha A-Series guitars are fitted with an SRT2 Piezo pickup which is designed to use the individual elements for each of the strings. This helps to produce an ultra-clear and ultra-wide bandwidth signal to deliver an excellent dynamic response. The tonal output of the SRT system possesses exceptional tonal accuracy. Combined with the latest System71 pre-amp, this unification of electronics delivers a beautiful and natural sound when plugged in.

Redesigned Bracing For Ultimate Sound Projection

Through feedback, extensive research, analysis and development, Yamaha has managed to create a new scalloped bracing pattern for the A-Series. The new pattern allows for more volume, more projection, increase in the low and mid-end and a bigger tone. The bracing also allows the resonance of the guitar to sit closer to the middle resulting in greater and more balanced sound pressure whilst allowing for a superb dynamic range.

A.R.E Treated Solid Sitka Spruce Top & Rosewood Body

A.R.E stands for Acoustic Resonance Enhancement. This patented process gives the solid sitka spruce top a gorgeous and highly sought-after appearance and sound of a guitar that has undergone the natural aging process. A.R.E works by crystallizing the cellulose fibres within the wood, which breaks down the hemicellulose and binds the cellulose together. This allows the timber to vibrate and resonate more freely, resulting in the warm tonal response of aged wood. The sitka spruce top is contrasted beautifully by its solid rosewood back and sides, delivering sparkly clean highs, bright attack, and long sustain.

Concert Cutaway Body

The Yamaha AC3R features a concert cutaway body which produces a big sound in a comfortable design. Built with a tapered waist and shorter scale, as well as a lighter string tension, the concert shape is perfect for in the studio and on stage. Finger-pickers will fall in love with the clarity and precision of this exceptionally designed guitar body. Its cutaway feature enables players to reach more challenging chords with equal ease, offering full freedom of the fingerboard for players to explore with more technical skills.
